Program “Future Entrepreneurs”

The main goal of this program is to identify the best teaching methods to support second language learning (particularly in English) for children from rural areas. It consists of a scholarship system that provides personalized education based on the student’s level of English and their specific learning needs. During the first year, participants receive weekly individual and peer English classes. The teachers are Colombian, both bilingual and bicultural. During the second year of the program, scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to take a trip to the United States, where they will do internships in urban and rural areas.

The program is currently being carried out with two scholarship recipients: a boy (Samuel Rojas Cabuya, 7 years old) and a girl (Isabela Linares Galán, 9 years old), who have been active fellows in the program for two months, since it began in April. Both students and their parents are involved and committed to this opportunity, and they are aware of the importance of learning English to support their educational and professional goals abroad.
