Global Health Beat Foundation Launches Youth Yoga/Mindfulness Program

Global Health Beat Foundation launches its first yoga and mindfulness program tailored to school-age children who are part of the “Future Entrepreneurs Program”!  The English as a second language scholarship grantees are now receiving yoga and mindfullness lessons as part of the curriculum. The students reported enjoying learning and practicing various yoga postures (asanas) named after animals such as the cat, the dog and the cobra.

“I have found the yoga classes relaxing, fun, and I like them because when I practice yoga I feel like my back bones fall into place.” – shared Samuel Rojas Cabuya, one of the scholarship grantees.

The students are also learning how to incorporate the mindfulness and breathing exercises into their yoga routines at home with their families. They are very enthusiastic to keep practicing yoga in order to be able to do more advanced asanas.
