Drug use Prevention and Reeducation Program

The GHBF supports research showing that in most cases, babies who are born dependent on a psychoactive substance, or later end up addicted, were likely influenced by  the addictive habits and emotional/mental problems faced by the mother during gestation. Likewise, the GHBF is involved with other cases of addiction that arise from the family and social context in which a person is born and develops, where psychoactive drugs are used to cope. In all cases, the goal of the GHBF with these programs is to re-educate and raise awareness among dependent adolescents and adults. The program also seeks to to strengthen the self-esteem of participants, and teach emotional control, emphasizing that mental and emotional health play a direct role on the physical health of each person, their families, and the community.
